Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) is offering the International Student Leadership Award (ISLA) for the Winter 2025–26 session. International Student Winter Merit Scholarship (ISWMS) is specifically designed for high-achieving international students entering their first year of a four-year full-time undergraduate program starting in January 2026.
Purpose of the Award
ISLA recognizes international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance as well as strong leadership potential, involvement in community service, and extracurricular activities.

Eligibility Criteria
To receive this award applicants must fulfil the following conditions:
- You must be an international student (non-Canadian citizen or permanent resident)
- Must be enrolled in the first year of a full-time undergraduate program at TMU in January 2026
- You must have a minimum admission average of 85% or its equivalent
- You need to provide a personal statement demonstrating leadership, community involvement or extracurricular engagement
- you must not taken more than one academic gap year between high school and university
- you must meet all admission requirements for your chosen TMU undergraduate program.

- Login your student account using Torontomu Username and Password.
- Fill out the personal details and document in the ISLA – Winter 2026 scholarship application.
- Submit your application by July 15, 2025, 11:59 PM ET.
The general admission deadlines must be met to secure your enrolment on time and it is also important to ensure that your study permit is processed.
